the mist is rising, the deer are graz- ing right in front of the terrace and the dogs are already excited about their regular morning walk through the meadows and forests. Winter up here has a fairy-tale beauty. Even be- fore breakfast, I put on my skis right in front of our house and, before the hustle and bustle starts, I have left my tracks in the snow. Amazing! Come evening, all four of us are lying on the floor by a roaring fire, each cuddling a dog – it lifts my heart. In the summer, we spend many evenings on the ter- race, watching the sun go down and counting the shooting stars. Even a storm is an impressive and fascinat- ing spectacle on the mountain. We live in and love every corner in this house and for the first time it´s difficult to let go. However, life is like riding a bike. You have to move for- ward to keep your balance… which brings us back to the subject again. “Difficult to let go” – but neverthe- less you want to sell your jewel? Yes! Tyrol, the “Wilder Kaiser”, will al- ways be my home. But my profes- sional focus necessitates a change of location. If I should ever build another house though, it will definitely be an- other log home!
