On the way to the castle, there is an officially approved heliport on the right – a rarity of great value which is only permitted in a few regions in South Tyrol, and which can be fully and legally used as it is. From here the views into the Puster Valley, with its breathtaking fascination, are already outstanding and you can sense the privi- lege of being the owner of this absolutely excep- tional estate. Below the large entrance portal of the castle you reach the privately built, additional exhibition rooms and garages stretching over three floors and offering space for events. This area could also be converted into a separate guest or staff wing. The lower floor offers accommoda- tion for three large vehicles or all the appliances for the maintenance of the castle premises. Through the impressive castle gate on the upper main entrance and a generously proportioned, tunnel-like access to the stunning inner courtyard of the castle, you reach the main building which conveys a fascinating ambience. Wonderfully tended geraniums along the balconies, which face the inner courtyard, create a picturesque scene and several antiques transport the visitor to a different time. Many entrances to various living and lounge areas of the castle through old wooden doors and over antique stone staircases open up from the inner courtyard. On the ground floor level you will find a chapel from the Middle Ages with old wall paintings, multi-functional utility rooms, the impressive castle fountain, as well as access to a side wing which accommodates the lord of the castle’s private rooms. The main wing of the castle is separated into two extremely prestigious living areas. The ground floor comprises a large, authentically refurbished living and dining area with fantastic views of the Puster Valley and the surrounding mountains. The basement features a wonderful wine cellar, a billiard room as well as a former old gaol which is now a modern power plant with an autonomous, self-sufficient generator to provide the entire castle with power.
