The waterfall in the house which, as well as being a practical way of providing an exceptional room temperature and air quality, is also intended to serve as a design feature and was enhanced with wonderful artworks which are repeated in other parts of the house. Apart from all these fine design features, the ecological aspect of the house, as well as a healthy and pleasant room temperature and air quality, was also very important. Therefore, we decided to make the inner walls from clay in a number of places, as this natural building ma- terial ensures a wonderful, balanced room temperature and air quality and constitutes the basis of our temperate wine cellar. The main idea behind the design of the individual rooms was size, daylight (natural light) and room atmosphere (natural humidity).We also re-defined the wellness theme. For example, there was never any question for us that the wellness area, as in many other exclusive houses, would be situated in the cellar. We wanted the extensive infinity pool on the ground floor to be a wellness oasis which, with its saunas, pool bar and large outside Jacuzzi, would allow the future occupiers to breathe fresh mountain air and enjoy an unob- structed view of the Kitzbühel Mountains and the Streif while they swim. There has never been a shortage of vision over the almost 4 years of planning and construction which we have undertaken step by step, with heart and soul and much love for detail. Con- struction and creative design is our passion which we will probably be unable to give up completely in future. In conclusion, we hope that the future occupiers of this exceptional residence may have at least as much pleasure as we experienced during its planning and construction.
