7TaTYR 8ZXPY_^ Edition 1 · 2013 30 When we discovered this wonderful spot while walking with our dog near our private villa, we were immediately inspired and knew that we would realise the dreamof an exceptional property here. This unique plot was, even then, a beautiful plateau on the sunny side of Kitzbühel, which ensured sunshine all day. Above all, the elevated situation, hidden from view and very private, was the deciding factor for us to actually put our plan into practice exactly there. Then the fantastic 360° view of the Südberge, the Hahnenkamm, the Hohe Salve and the majestic Kaiser Mountains completely convinced us. In retrospect, after the actually very speedy purchase of the plot, we took plenty of time over the planning, which finally took two years. As my husband had developed various properties in the past and has a very good feel for architecture, almost daily changes were made and new ideas incorporated and constantly refined, in order to find the ideal orientation, the best appearance and as perfect a room layout as possible. It was clear to us from the start that we would spare neither time nor cost and effort in order to create a masterpiece together. You know, we took some fairly far ranging jour- neys for us to be inspired by new ideas for the interior design of the house. So, for example, we got the inspiration for the door and window handles from the exclusive Milan Bulgari Hotel and commissioned a contract for their special manufacture.
