Hotel Tennerhof Relais & Châteaux Gourmet & Spa de Charme
From weather farmer to 5-star hotel
The first documented mention of the Tennerhof, a respectable farm, dates back to 1679. Due to its special location, the Tennerhof farmer at that time had the task of observing the weather and predicting its development.
When a storm was approaching, a white sheet was hoisted on the roof of the house. This was the signal for the sacristan to ring the large church bell to warn the people of Kitzbühel. The vibrations of the mighty bells were also supposed to drive away the source of the thunderstorm.
Even today, centuries later, the church bells ring when storm clouds approach! The centre of the picturesque mountain town is within easy walking distance - and yet the Tennerhof is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Time-honoured tradition with a finger on the pulse
Since 1923, the Tennerhof has been owned by the Pasquali family of Campostellato and is the first 5-star hotel in Kitzbühel. For generations, the romantic property on the south-facing sunny plateau has combined exceptional flair with luxury and traditional hospitality.
Family-owned antiques, light-filled ambience, harmonious colour scheme and personal details lend the historic house a special charm.
The special tranquillity, the view of Kitzbühel and the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains are of unique beauty. At the Tennerhof, privacy is of the utmost importance, which is why guests will find charming, individual but unobtrusive service from first-class staff in all areas.
Hospitality that has grown over time
This means a time-honoured hotel tradition with its finger on the pulse of the times. Since 2007, the hotel has been a member of the renowned Relais & Châteaux hotel association and is thus one of the most beautiful hotels and restaurants in the world, fulfilling the so-called "Five C's": Caractère, Courtoisie, Calme, Charme and Cuisine.
